Can People Really Be That Stupid?

So I am just getting back to Memphis, from being Jackson, Mississippi for delivery driver training, which was pretty cool, this was my first business trip for Best Buy, so of course that makes things a little more exciting for me. So I am get back on Friday, cool beans, stop by the store, do my expenses thing so I can get the money I spent back, which will be on my paycheck next week (saweet), and a few other things. So I come in today, to finish a few elearning test (what those are, just computerized test to test your knowledge of whatever you’re job is with in Best Buy).

So I am finishing my test, talking to one of the sweethearts that works the CASO desk @ Best Buy (CASO is Customer Assistance Specialist and Store Operator Specilist), Brittany. I talk to the managers there to make sure I am doing everything ok, and since I did, I decide I’ve had enough of the test, and I could really use some NON Best Buy time, so I start getting my things ready to leave, so I am walking up to the front, and I have to check out with LP per usual, no one gets to go by, not even me, the star of Best Buy sometimes J. So I am getting my folder/clipboard checked out when I am lookin at the screen on the LP desk, and I see a familiar figure. Now the reason this figure looks familiar is because, I caught a guy who looked exactly like the guy on camera for shoplifting, and this was just any shoplifting, this is felony shoplifting, so I had to get a closer look, so I ask Mike…dude, zoom in on that guys face and let me see if that’s Keith Brewer, who I caught back in May, so Mike zooms in and what do you know? Its Keith Brewer, the same guy I caught back in May, who is already committing trespassing, has a LAPTOP computer IN HIS HANDS, is now cutting OPEN the lap top box, and proceeds to put it in his jacket! STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!

So I’m checking records so the police know who this guy is, and printing it out when Mike calls me over, and I see the idiot start heading towards the front of the building, so of course I go ahead and make my way back up as well. So he cuts through all of the cash registers and heads directly for the exits, well guess who is blocking his way? That’s right, me. So I look at him square in the eyes, and ask…you possibly can’t be this stupid?! His look…PRICELESS. Sheer terror! So I grab him by the arm and tell him, its time to go inside the office. He looks and say’s, “I’m NOT GOING BACK IN THERE!”, and trys to escape…again wrong move, so I grab him up, and I throw his ass inside the office.

But seriously, you’re already banned from the store (all of the stores, not just the one I banned him from), why would you try your luck anywhere else? People are frigging stupid!
